Poet, Belarus

Freeing our hair from your graspis high treason.

Freeing our wrists from your graspis high treason.

Freeing our necks from your graspis high treason.

Freeing the voicesis a death sentence.

We won’t beat either drumsor kitchen pots.

Justice comes quietlylike death in a dream.

No one will be happyuntil we break freefrom your grasp, let you out of your own trap.
