Wael al-Qadri was born in Daraa in 1995. He graduated from the Faculty of Education at Damascus University. He is a short story writerstory writer and poet. A collection of his short stories was published by Dar Rashid and was shortlisted for the Rashid al-Sharqi Award for Creativity. He won second place in the Austrian Short Story Prize
