Ayi Renaud Dossavi

Ayi Renaud Dossavi is a Togolese journalist, blogger, and writer, trained in biology. With a profound passion for both science and literature, he has distinguished himself through a multidisciplinary career. He is the author of several poetry collections, including Pensées égarées (2016), Chants de sable ( 2018), and Pour les beaux yeux du monde (2023), as well as essays offering critical reflections on society and Africa (Nous et l’Histoire (2017)). In 2020, he was nationally distinguished as Officer of the National Order of Merit ( “Officier de l'Ordre national du Mérite”), in recognition of his civic engagement and literary contributions.

Since the establishment of PEN-Togo in 2016, Ayi Renaud has served as its Secretary General, actively promoting writing and freedom of expression. Since November 2024, he has extended this advocacy to the international level as Acting Chair of the newly established Young Writers Committee of PEN International.
