Karina Thyra Cordova

Writer/Human Rights Advocate, Philippines

Karina Thyra Cordova is a writer and human rights advocate with a background in education, media, and social impact.

As Fellow of the Year in the 2024 Awareness 360 Fellowship Program, Karina led an anti-human trafficking and cyber-scamming awareness campaign in rural Thai schools, fostering conversations around safety, dignity, and informed choices.

Holding a BA in Multimedia Studies from the University of the Philippines Open University and awaiting graduation for a second degree in English for Communication at Mahapajapati Buddhist College, Karina brings together education, storytelling, and grassroots engagement. Most recently, Karina contributed to global storytelling and sustainability efforts at a Bangkok-completed a marketing internship with a Bangkok-based fashion consultancy agency, contributing to global communications and sustainability initiatives aimed at transforming the fashion industry from design to distribution.

Karina’s writing has appeared in Vocal Media, Moviepilot, and the Philippine Daily Inquirer, with work that explores culture, youth perspectives, and the quiet forces that shape everyday life.
