Author and Poet

Chloe Hor is a Malaysian author and poet with a Bachelor of Arts in English with Creative Writing. Her poetry has been published in collections like Malaysian Places and Spaces and Hibiscus and Plum Blossoms. Her short stories have been published in A Chance Encounter at Sungai Chiling and The Best Asian Short Stories 2023.

She won the 2024 Muara Writing Prize and was longlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize of 2025. She was most recently shortlisted for the 2025 Dutt Award for Literary Excellence. Chloe’s work centres around themes of youth, grief, and love. She is currently working on her debut novel.
